Mussa and Abudallah's story
“Musa and Abudallah are extremely poor and very needy children.
Both Musa and Abudallah have a very sad story. Briefly, at a young age, they were living in bushes and on the streets with their father after he was chased away from his hometown and family for unknown reasons. He wandered aimlessly until he reached Bugiri, where we encountered them. After being ostracized, the father became idle and hopeless. He was also a drug addict, which impaired his judgment and required immediate treatment.
The father became mentally unstable due to drug use, yet he continued to live with the boys on the streets. A concerned citizen, through the village chairperson, alerted us to the presence of starving children living with their mentally incapacitated father. We immediately rushed to help the children and rescue them from a life without hope.
We adopted them through the government’s child protection office in our district, and they are now placed in our baby home (orphanage). They are doing well in their lives.
Musa and Abudallah have never attended school. We realized this when they came to our home in 2024. They are eager to go to school but lack a sponsor.
They are bright, disciplined, and hopeful children, but they need a parental hand.”
